Ceuta’s 2011 International Alliance Conference was held in the beautiful city of Barcelona in October and was attended by 120 delegates representing 84 markets from around the globe.
This year’s event attracted senior International Managers, Vice Presidents and Directors from leading manufacturers and industry service providers including, GSK, Procter & Gamble, Boehringer Ingelheim, Reckitt Benckiser, Sanofi, G.R. Lane, Advanced Vision Research, BioElectronics Inc, HSBC Bank, Sawaya Segalas Investment Bank, IMS, Nicholas Hall and OTC Bulletin.
Delegates were treated to insightful industry presentations including an overview of the global economy from HSBC Bank, global merger and acquisition trends in health & beauty from Sawaya Segalas, a New York investment bank. These sessions were preceded by a key note address on the benefits of outsourcing none core brands and activities and why leading organisations within our industry see this activity as a significant added value to their business.
The aforementioned presentations were followed by addresses from both GSK and Procter & Gamble, who shared with delegates why they outsource, how it adds value to their business and what qualities they looked for in such partnerships.
Other areas covered at the conference included communication skills in pharmacy (Reckitt Benckiser), exploiting social media and viral marketing (Intergage) and presentations from three Alliance Partners on their respective markets, organisations and how Alliance membership was adding value to their businesses.
The conference included a new product session where innovative brand and product opportunities were shared with the Alliance partners offering growth opportunities for their businesses.
Bringing together manufacturers and Alliance members at this unique industry event has also stimulated numerous ‘in market’ discussions with companies looking to outsource brands to Ceuta’s network of partners to take advantage of the quality and consistency across the Alliance.
